The charming restaurant and traditional bar are at the heart of the Feathers Inn. Guests can enjoy an extensive seasonal menu surrounded by old exposed brickwork, original wooden beams and a welcoming log fire.
The Feathers is 2 minutes’ drive from the A10 London to Cambridge Road, with access to the M25 motorway after a 20-minute car journey. Free parking is available for guests. The Feathers Inn has a rich history, dating back to the early 1600s when it was called The Princes Arms and had been owned by various blacksmiths and tanners.
In 1615, Ralph Osbertson purchased the inn and later, in 1670, allowed his son to change the name to The Feathers. It subsequently became one of the busiest coaching inns in the area, stabling over 100 horses. Documents of the period mention 5 bedrooms, a step parlour, moon parlour, lion parlour and various other rooms.
