The Doors of Évora were inserted in the West-East axis.
The Roman arch is attached to the Castle.
It is the only existing example that bears witness to the application of the ideal Roman city model, which consisted of the intersection of two main roads oriented in the West-East direction and in the North-South direction. The application of this system resulted in a geometrically organized urban space .
