Campos do Jordão is a Brazilian municipality located in the interior of the state of São Paulo, more precisely in the Serra da Mantiqueira; is part of the newly created Metropolitan Region of the Paraíba Valley and North Coast, Taubaté sub-region.
Named after the "Brazilian Switzerland", Campos do Jordão lives up to the glamorous title when winter arrives in the Southern Hemisphere. At 1,700 meters of altitude, framed by the mountains of the Mantiqueira Range and the colorful forests with the yellow of the plane trees, the city embellished in the typical European architecture, gastronomy that combines old world flavors and recipes and the erudite program of the Winter Festival, one of the most renowned in the country when it comes to classical music.

The fun core of the city of Campos do Jordão is the noble neighborhood of Capivari, with houses in Structure of Madeira, the Baden Baden brewery, and restaurant, hotels and shops, and chocolate shops.
In July, all the virtues of Campos do Jordão gain generous doses of sophistication. And, along with them, news and surprises that can be translated into a ski resort with artificial snow, gigantic shopping centers and bars with validity of only one month.
The Brazilian 'Alps', however, also have rustic facets. To explore them, bet on the walks that refer to the mountainous pastures covered by araucarias. By cable car, you come to Morro do Elefante, which offers a panoramic view of the city.
An English-style train leads to the town of Santo António do Pinhal passing through the country's highest railway line. Steep trails and hook-ladder lead to the top of the Stone of the Chest, the official gazebo of the region, accessible also by horseback riding.

Campos do Jordão is the most traditional and important city of Mantiqueira. Its hotel park and its restaurants constitute the most complete mountain tourist infrastructure in Brazil. In this way, the city is the main reference of what we can call mountain cuisine or mountain cuisine.
Cold and low temperatures create the need for a rich and calorific diet. The clean air, the walks, the walks and the nature also awaken appetites and thus the cuisine must be treated as a tourist attraction. The goal is for visitors to recall the most beautiful and delightful memories. Landscape and taste are a perfect match.
The Serra offers a wide variety of gastronomic options, with menus of the most varied cuisines, either by the ethnic aspect (Italian, German, French, Portuguese, Alpine and etc ...) or by the style aspect (contemporary, typical, homemade, traditional and etc) .

What we have to offer is our region and thus we value our most important culinary product. There are even raw pine nuts, in little sacks of yellow netting on the edges of the streets and avenues.

Campos do Jordão has a tropical climate of altitude, with mild summers and winters with very low temperatures by Brazilian standards.
Frosts are common during winter.
The differences in average temperatures from the hottest month to the coldest month were not more than 8 degrees Celsius in Campos do Jordão, unlike that Swiss city, where the differences reached 20ºC.
The oxygenation and ozone content of Campos do Jordão was considered superior to that of Chamonix, a famous French resort, due to the purity of its air, at 2,800 meters of altitude.
